Brazil (Federative Republic of Brazil)is becoming an increasingly popular destination for real estate and property investment amongst the British, according to an industry expert.

Resort Group International, an impartial advice service for those wanting to buy, rent or resell property overseas, has said that investors in Brazil will get a good return on their investment (ROI).

Lawrie Smith, accounts manager at Resort Group International, said: "Brazil is never likely to be as popular as France and Spain because of the geography, but as far as long-haul destinations go, it will probably be one of the most popular resorts."

Mr Smith explained that Brazil is a similar distance from Europe as popular investment destinations, such as Florida and the Caribbean, but that property is significantly cheaper in South America.

Brazil's economy is in good shape according to a report entitled 'Foreign Investment in Latin America and the Caribbean, 2007', published by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).

The report states that Latin America and the Caribbean received a record figure of almost $106 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in 2007, due to regional economic growth and sustained global demand for natural resources.

Brazil's GDP (PPP and Nominal) is the highest of Latin America with large and developed agricultural, mining, manufacturing and service sectors, as well as a large labor pool. The country has been expanding its presence in international financial and commodities markets, and is regarded as one of the group of four emerging economies called BRIC.

My sister and I have been going to local rock shows on a regular basis (usually at least one per weekend) for a little over two years now, and between waiting for the bands to set up, sound checks, and the random nothing in between acts, there can be a lot of downtime. We realized that there are quite a number of fun/funny things to do while were waiting, so we thought wed make a list of them ala top ten style.

Top 10 things to do at a show

10. Find the creepy drunk people for safety/entertainment purposes.

Every bar has them - the drunks who cant quite control themselves. They either end up making out with everyone, or picking fights with everyone. Its best to find them early in the night and keep an eye on them.

9. Take pictures of everyone

Take pictures of your friends, band members, random strangers. Its a great way to meet people!

8. Check out the band's merch

Very important. Many bands travel long distances to play and they depend on merch sales to pay for gas. Its a great way to get to know band members who tend to hang out at their merch stands, and sometimes you can get some free stuff, too.

7. Drink

Hey, thats what bars are for, right? While youre at it, buy drinks for the people sitting around you. Youll get some instant best friends that way!

6. Decide what to get at Sheetz on the ride home

Sheetz is a gas station in our area that serves food. You can substitute any place that sells food.

5. Try to guess how many people are taller than you.

You can substitute the word taller here with just about anything. (We use taller since were vertically-challenged.)

4. Stand at the bar until someone buys you a drink

This one works for us on occasion , usually when we cant seem to get the bartenders attention. If we stand there long enough, someone will get the bartenders attention and order our drinks for us.

3. Make friends with the bouncer (it will help you later when he's kicking everyone else out)

Plus, the bouncer can get pretty lonely sitting by the door by himself. They can get a bad rep, but theyre usually pretty nice.

2. Watch the band

During their set or in between sets, bands can be pretty entertaining to watch. Many band members have that personality type where theyre always trying to entertain everyone around them, and they love to be the center of attention, so you might as well give them the attention they crave.

1. Write top ten lists.

Self-explanatory. One we wrote recently - Top Ten Reasons Rock Shows are Better Than Strip Clubs.

Bass guitar tab has become a very popular method of writing bass music. With this tool you can learn to play bass music fast without getting bogged down in a lot of unnecessary theoretical stuff.

The bass player's role is just to keep time. It is very simple. A lot like bass players. Keeping time is done by playing a 'bassline' which is usually a rhythmic' sequence of notes. The bass player unites the rhythmic playing of the drummer with the chords and melodies played by the lead guitar. Does this take talent? Yes it does. The bass guitar player is the guy who turns off his brain and becomes one with the music. He then turns his brain back on and assumes the mantle of the designated driver for the rest of the band.

The bass guitar tab gives the guitarist written directions on what to play to give the bass line to a piece of music. Tablature is a written representation of the strings of the guitar using numbers to show the frets. If you want to learn the bass guitar quickly tab is the way to go. It is easy to pick up and to remember, and it enables you to learn very quickly the riffs and phrases you need to give your group's music that something extra.

A bass guitar tab is a picture of the fretboard which can be drawn using Notepad on your computer or by hand. The frets are numbered on lines representing the guitar strings. If you have a four string bass, the upper string is the G string, next the D string, the A string, and the E string. The numbers below the lines are the frets where the notes are played. If there is zero below the line it means the open string is played. A chord is represented in bass guitar tabs by two numbers, one above the other. Most bass guitar tabs contain a legend which explains any unfamiliar terms.

The internet is by far the best source for bass guitar tabs. Just do a Google search and you will have more material than you will ever need. All you have to do is learn and practice. Learn and practice your favorite songs first. Bass guitar is not a musical instrument you can approach without passion. Bass guitar riffs can be learnt from tab books but should be played from the heart.

Ricky Sharples has been playing guitar his whole life, and is presently engaged in building a blog called Learn How To Play A Guitar For Free Ricky's blog features free tools, lessons and resources for guitarists of all ages and stages. Ricky updates the blog regularly so if you are interested in learning to play guitar there will be an enormous variety of tip, tools and tutorials for you.

Dips, Lifts, and Solos to Spice up Your Salsa

Dips, Lifts, and Solos to Spice up Your Salsa

Featuring: Lisa Perez and Dave Morgan

Directed by Lee Soto Edited by Dave Morgan Distributed by Barrio Records
Customer Review: Weeeeeeell.....
The dips and lifts part is good. There isn't much instruction for the woman on this video other than curl your arm, keep clean lines, and other few things pointed out. I guess if you have a good leader and you are a good follower you wouldn't need much. I was disappointed with the solo part. I was expecting more instruction but she just does her thing and i guess you are supposed to learn by watching. I really would have preferred a breakdown. They did include a breakdown in the lifts that follow the solo. Overall, its pretty good, especially for the men or anyone leading, but found a little lacking on the woman's part.
Customer Review: Good selection
I would recommend this tape to anyone out there. The moves are excellant and well presented. If anything the lighting could have been better and there was too much space on the set such that the people seem to be too far back and you can't see their facial details. These are minor details however in the dance scheme of things. Good work overall.

As a previous article (Making Better Word Choices 4 Examples) explained, writers can take steps to prevent simple, and common, errors from degrading their writing. Five areas of writing that cause authors problems are discussed in this article.

Split Infinitives

First let us exam the famously frowned upon split infinitive. Maybe some readers do not know, or do not remember, what a split infinitive is exactly. To understand split infinitives readers must first remember what constitutes an infinitive. An infinitive is a phrase that includes a verb preceded by the word to, such as, to play or to investigate. Now that we know what an infinitive is maybe we remember our English teachers lecturing us against splitting them. Simply put, a split infinitive is when a writer puts a word between the word to and the associated verb. Therefore, a split infinitive would look something like the following examples:

He was going to quickly investigate the theft.

Tommy likes to neatly color in his book.

These two examples would be re-written as shown below.

He was going to investigate the theft quickly.

OR

He was quickly going to investigate the theft.

Tommy likes to color neatly in his book.

OR

Tommy likes to color in his book neatly.

Splitting infinitives is not criticized to the degree it has been in the past. As many reputable sources explain, occasionally splitting an infinitive is acceptable. Even some progressive English teachers will agree with this idea.

Compact Oxford Online Dictionary explains that the rule for not splitting infinitives was based on an analogy to Latin, a language that writes infinitives as one word, such as bibere to drink. The decision to argue with an English teacher about the acceptance of splitting infinitives is your decision to make.

As Oxford states, in standard English the use of split infinitives is broadly accepted as both normal and useful.1 If you do decide to argue with an English teacher, feel free to point out that people such as John Donne, William Wordsworth, and Benjamin Franklin split infinitives at will. The larger problem occurs when a writer consistently splits their infinitives. If splitting the infinitive helps with emphasis or the statement flows better go ahead and split the infinitive.

Superlatives and Comparatives

Writers should also strive to use superlatives and comparatives correctly. Some cases of incorrect use may sound okay, but if the author remembers the rules that they learned for using superlatives and comparatives they will realize that they have made the error. For example when a sentence is written as below it sounds correct, but it is not.

One of the most common mistakes a cook makes is not using fresh ingredients.

In this example, the lack of fresh ingredients is either a common mistake or it is the most common mistake; there generally cannot be two, or more, most common mistakes. A case where there can be two mosts is in an exact tie. For example, if 20 mistakes are made and two of them occur six times each (making up 12 of the 20 mistakes) and the remaining eight mistakes are all different, then the two mistakes that occurred six times each could be labeled as the most common mistakes.

The sentence below shows another way that a comparative can be written incorrectly.

Of the three dogs, the bulldog was the smaller.

To use a comparative there needs to be something compared to something else. The bulldog either was the smallest of the three dogs or was smaller than another dog in the group. Both sentences below are written correctly.

The bulldog was smaller than the German shepherd and the St. Bernard.

The bulldog was the smallest of the three dogs.

A third sentence, shown below would also be correct.

The bulldog was smaller than the other two dogs.

This is written correctly because the bulldog is compared to a pair. It is clear from the sentence that the other two dogs, by being grouped together, are larger than the bulldog.

Comma Use

The use of commas can be confusing for many writers. Three rules for using commas are addressed here. The first rule involves comma use when a series is given, such as in the example below.

I bought carrots, peas, and watermelons.

Some readers may consider this rule controversial; some teachers and editors may say the final comma is not necessary, in my opinion the use of the final comma is more appropriate than not. If, for some reason, your teacher or editor tells you the final comma is unnecessary then ask them to explain why, I do not have an explanation as to why some have a preference for not using the final comma.

Do not use a comma when only two items are in the series, such as in the sentence below.

I saw birds and fish at the pet store.

The second rule for use of commas is to use a comma before the and when a wholly correct clause is introduced. The way to determine if the clause is wholly correct is to ask if it makes sense on its own, such as having its own subject(s) and verb(s). The example below shows two clauses separated by and, along with a correctly used comma.

We went to the store, and Joan bought some juice.

The third rule is an extension of the second rule; do not use a comma to separate a sentence from text that could not be a complete clause on its own. The example below shows an incorrect use of a comma in this situation.

We are going home, and sleep.

The ending of the example sentence (and sleep) is not a complete sentence on its own, therefore, a comma should not be used before and.

Acronyms and Abbreviations

Completely spell out acronyms and abbreviations the first time they are used. Once a writer decides to use an acronym or abbreviation they should be used throughout the remainder of the text, switching back and forth between the full spelling and the acronym or abbreviation should be avoided.

Using etc., i.e., and e.g.

The final rules discussed in this article involve the use of several common abbreviations. The first abbreviation is etc. This comes from Latin and is an abbreviation for et cetera, which means and others.

First, make sure that a period is included at the end; second, make sure that the others have been specified previously. A final note on this abbreviation, if it is used put the letters in the correct order; ect. is not correct.

The second abbreviation often misused is i.e. Also from Latin, this is a shortened form of id est which means that is. When used correctly this abbreviation indicates an alternative way of stating something. The most common error when using i.e. is not following it with a comma; there should be two periods and a comma in this abbreviation.

The final abbreviation discussed in this article is e.g. Again, this is an abbreviation for a Latin phrase, exempla gratia. This is used when the writer means for example or for instance. Some people believe that e.g. stands for example given, this is not true, but it can be a helpful way to remember that it does have something to do with an example. Similar to the use of i.e. many writers forget to put a comma after the second period in e.g. Below are three correct examples of these abbreviations.

Bob bought a whole bunch of office supplies, pens, pencils, staples, paper, highlighters, and erasers on his way home. He purchased so many things that when he got home he realized that he had forgotten a bag at the store. He had his pens and pencils, but the staples etc. were still at the store.

John is a big person, i.e., he is over six feet tall.

The black horse is fast, e.g., it has won all of its races.

By using the rules above your writing will make more sense and will be correct. Future articles will address other writing errors and provide additional advice.

Live 2003

Well I know we all have an iPod and those of us who don't probably been wishing one, really the popularity of this little gadget is huge and the thing about is that it just keeps getting smaller and bigger at the same time. Well what I mean, how can it be both? Well Apple seems to make the ipods smaller with each generation but holding much more music and movies and is one of really great things about the ipods which I believe has contributed significantly to it's success in the mp3 player market and amongst users.

With all these Gigabytes of space what are you going to do with it? Well don't be like me who probably had about 1 or 2 on an 80GB iPod. Well that recently changed what been holding me off for sometime was the fact that iTunes charges so much for a song I mean come on, 99 cents sound like small amount but think about it to fill up a 80GB would take approximately over 20 thousand song or more and at 99 cents that really going to hurt your pocket, for this reason many ipod owners have been looking for free ipod downloads, if there really is such a thing.

There must some other alternative to this task, of getting music and movies downloads for your ipod, there other music sources such as yahoo music and rhapsody but these operate the same way as iTunes so that does make any sense it like one step forward and 2 steps back. Then there is your own cd collection which is a great source of music and not just music but music you like since you bought in the first place :) . For free ipod downloads, I personally recommend you to start with this option get you own cd collection and put the music onto your ipod, but that is not enough with the music industry changing and releasing new songs almost every week how are you going to keep up with it all without going broke.

Well then we have to continue to look for more alternatives. Well let me think for while... I was going over the net looking for the popular free ipod download sites, and I and notice there are some download site that offer unlimited downloads for music and movies, but really in this digital age that we live in is there really such a thing as free music and movie downloads. Yes amazingly yes! You can still get free ipod music and movies, in a sense you see these are all free as they are no per download fees like iTunes.

Let me explain how it works. You see these sites operate on a Membership basis what that means is instead of paying for each song you download. You pay a one-time membership which provides you with access. Don't panic the membership fees are generally small ranging from $29 to about $50 dollars. After joining you are provided with instant downloading access. How this works is that the site will allow you to get access to their downloading program and you can use this to search for songs and movies and download to your computer or mac then transfer them to your ipod. The process is very simple and it sure bets paying 99 cents each time you want to download. With all that said start building your ipod music and movie dream collection today.

If you're browsing the internet in search of a satellite radio service for the US and Canada, then you need only check two websites: Sirius and XMRadio. These two giants are your only options and yet you'll notice striking similarities between the two websites' design, the product pricing and the programmer's stations.

Rumors have been flying around that Sirius and XM will form a ground-breaking merger this year, uniting all 14+ million customers under one banner. However, as of right now, you'll need to know what makes each slightly unique.

Country Music Fans may favor the XM Radio satellite service, which provides listeners with two extra stations - one focusing on Americana Country like Robert Plant or Blackfoot, and the other focusing on Folk Country like Tim Garrison and The Nitty Gritty Band. Both stations have country music from the 80s and 90s, new country, bluegrass and classic country.

Christian Music Fans may favor XM one. This service includes one more Christian music channel than Sirius - in addition to Christian Pop / Rock and Gospel, XM also hosts a Southern Gospel channel with Gold City, Greater Vision and The McKarneys.

Electronic Music Fans will prefer the Sirius service if they'd like a Breakbeat/Old SKool station, in addition to the usual Trance/Progressive stations that both satellite radio services provide. XM has exclusive rights to acclaimed BPM, but Sirius has a special Dance Hits station.

Rock Music Fans will probably prefer Sirius. While XM provides four different "alternative radio" stations, a punk station, a heavy metal station, a jam bands station, a college indie station and three classic rock stations, Sirius gives subscribers roughly 23 stations with everything that XM's service has -- plus New Wave, Glam Metal, Jimmy Buffet, Grateful Dead, Elvis, Canadian rock, UK rock, Garage, 60s Rock, 70s Rock and an additional punk/ska station.

World Music Fans will find that both service providers offering two French stations, but Spanish-speaking subscribers will find XM the better option, since they offer Rock En Espanol, Regional Mexican, Latin Pop, Latin Jazz, Hispanic Rhythmic and Spanish AC. Sirius, on the other hand, has only one Spanish music station for Latin Pop. Additionally, XM has a station for African and a business station in Italian.

Rap and Hip Hop Fans may prefer XM because their service focuses on more Soul and Funk, along with uncensored Hip Hop and Urban Contemporary -- unless they're big Slim Shady fans, in which case they may need Sirius Radio's Eminem station.

In some ways, XM Radio caters to the aging population with Good Morning America, Casey Casem's Top 40 Countdown, Theme Time with Bob Dylan and Wolfman Jack. On the other hand, Sirius Radio goes after the 20-somethings crowd with Bam Marguera, Howard Stern, Jamie Foxx and Tony Hawk shows. However, both satellite radio service providers are likely to give you something you can enjoy.

Sports Fans will find many similarities in XM and Sirius service options. For instance, both providers have ESPN, Nascar and NHL exclusives, as well as both college and NFL football. XM gives better golf / PGA Tour coverage and Fox Sports, while Sirius gives better NBA coverage. On XM, catch shows with Jimmy Johnson, Dale Jr, Coach K, James Carville, Luke Russert and Cal Ripkin.

With the Delphi SkiFi2 radio, you can get a sports ticker to show game scores on your display screen and the SportsCaster comes with 30 sports presets programmed in. However, Sirius gives you game alerts, 30 presets and lists all your favorite teams in one category with the Sportster and Streamer satellite radios. Additionally, get exclusive programming with Jerry Rice, Daryl Johnston, Randy Cross, Adam Schein, Shannon Sharpe, Ray Evernham, Tony Stewart, Rick Ackerman and Frank Isola.

Whichever satellite radio service you prefer, you'll be surprised to find that both are competitively priced at $13/month and most of the radio components cost from $20 - $200. However, which ever service you choose for now, you will still need to purchase a satellite radio receiver and luckily, most of the satellite radios will work in your home and in your car.

Get all the information you need on the satellite radio service providers from Mike Selvon's portal, and leave a comment at his satellite radio network blog.

Customer Review: Be prepared! No music!
It was really not clear when purchasing this CD that it is only spoken word. I was at least able to determine this by reading the cover before taking off the plastic. How disappointing, especially for someone relatively new to Coldplay's music.
Customer Review: Don't understand.
I just don't get it. These reviews don't even make sense. It would also be nice if the track list was posted for potential buyers.

Two-time professional champion of ABC's hit television show "Dancing With The Stars," Julianne Hough has recently begun focusing on yet another talent - singing.

On May 20, Hough released her self-titled debut album of country music. In the spirit of something her most infamous critics Carrie Anne, Len and Bruno (the judges from the show that made her famous) might say, Hough's debut is very good but there is always some room for improvement.

The best track on the album is probably the first single, "That Song In My Head," which has all the qualities of a fun and catchy tune. Two other songs that really seem to stand out are "My Hallelujah Song" and "About Life" for their sweet vocals and notable themes respectively.

The majority of the tracks fall into what a typical music fan might consider the average to slightly above average category. But, the songs "You, You, You" and "Jimmy Ray McGee" are two examples works that seem either overdone or lacking originality and show the existence of the aforementioned "room for improvement".

Overall, Hough's is something of a breath of fresh air. In an industry that glorifies promiscuity and materialism, she is a complete change of pace. Her debut album gives the music world a refreshing taste of a wholesome and classic country style. And, if she keeps working at it, she could make quite a name for herself as a musician similar to how she has already done so with her skills on the dance floor.

I'd recommend this record to anyone who is more than just a casual country music fan with a passing interest.

Downloading music is an everyday affair on the internet. Almost unlimited music downloads of the latest songs take place each and every hour online. People have gotten so used to downloading music since it is so easy to do it with todays web technology. With a few clicks of the mouse, you can search and find your favourite song to download. There are a dozen of online music stores that are packed with unlimited music downloads. Each site allows you to download as many music pieces as you wish for a monthly subscription. Recently, this has gotten even more exciting with new entrants that do away with monthly subscriptions and go for a one-time fee only. We will explore some of the options available for us to get unlimited music downloads.

Unlimited music downloads across multi-genres are offered at several music stores for music lovers like us to enjoy without spending massive fortunes. Here are a few excellent and popular stores that offer this kind of service to you for a reasonable rate.

1. AOL Music Now

With a library of approximately 2 million music files including songs and soundtracks, it is unlike many other sites that offer unlimited music downloads. It is a direct access site that allows instant downloading of music without having to download and install client application on your computer before you can download your music. For an extra $5 every month, you get to download unlimited music downloads onto your digital portable player.

2. Napster

The new Napster has revamped itself ever since the previous saga. But with this download site, you need to install special proprietary software on your computer in order to be able to download songs from its website. Up to this point, it is estimated to carry about 1 million songs in its database. Its To Go service allows you to download approximately 9 out of 10 songs in the database.

3. Rhapsody

One of the most established music stores that is still around after all these years. It has seen the years of changes in the music industry and how online media has gained its foothold today. This is a pioneer in the music arena to offer unlimited music downloads. The interface has an optional direct download feature which means that you need not download and install any proprietary software in order to access and download the music media. Rhapsody also offers users 25 free songs every month.

These are by far some of the long-standing and reputable online stores that offer unlimited music downloads legally. My advice is for you to avoid those totally free music download sites since there has been much trouble associated with these sites. Attacks by spyware and adware and the lack of IT security are just some of the reasons to stay away from them. Of course, if you wish to enjoy having unlimited music downloads without having to pay monthly subscriptions, you can always check out several popular sites at my music blog that can meet your music needs.

Things looking bleak?

When milestone days approach, a holiday, a birthday or deathday, do your emotions tumble downhill as you struggle with lonely, depressing efforts to hold back your feelings? Is the one you really want with someone else, or did he or she pass away, yet you hunger and yearn for whom is missing? Do you have to push away painful memories just to get through the day and that takes all your concentration and energy? The pain of heartbreak can be acute and overwhelming. Your grief keeps you focused on the pain when you think about them. Maybe after fifty years you only remember the day someone died or your first love's face as he left you. The grief blocks all the good memories that lie beneath waiting.

Would you like to try a quick fix for an enduring heartache?
You have memories of these people that are yours to enjoy, too. If you can just get past the grief, even temporarily, you might recapture lost moments of joy.

Take tonight to be alone and set the stage for memories of someone who was once precious, but is now missing. Light some candles, get out the worn photos, drop the fake smile from your face....finally, and allow yourself to really feel the pain. Step into the murky water of your tears and despair and wail and cry, for say, ten minutes. Then, take the next ten minutes to crank up some rhythmic music and express the pain physically. Boldly and wildly move your body in an expression of your hurt. Next, gradually change the dance to a joyful or silly one, like the chicken dance. The physical efforts release brain chemicals. Hopefully, no one is watching this cathartic gig but if someone is, explain that you dance for your health.

Grief held inside is poison. The act of grieving is about releasing the toxic thoughts and physical ramifications of those thoughts. Faking it, smiling when you could split apart in pain or pretending you do not care is not fooling your organs. Get the pent up rage, despair, guilt or envy out of you. Just talking about it or ignoring it will not release grief as well as the Brokenheart Stomp. The change from a grieving movement to a happier movement will send a powerful signal to the mind that you are trying to recover from grief.

Purging grief is a detox cleanse that allows you to recover joy and balance to your mind and gut. You NEVER have to stop feeling love and longing for what you miss, but you need to periodically fall back deeply into your sadness, feel terrible and then release it quickly just like a cramp in your foot. When the pain begins to build up, try shaking it out and then laugh loudly long before you sincerely feel happy. Our bodies respond to the emotion we act out, so act out a joyful dance.

Loving someone - even if it does not last - can become a source of experience and strength to treasure, if you learn to release the grief regularly. Grief can last years, but your nervous system needs a break frequently. The Heartbreak Stomp may shorten the pain by grieving the feelings out just a bit while you laugh at your antics. Take this opportunity to remember the good and bask for a bit in positive memories of having loved someone dearly. Eventually, the pain will go and the good memories will heal your heart and last forever.

Customer Review: great system
I am now on the 3rd and final level of Rosetta Stone's Spanish (Latin America). I have been very impressed with the series. I do also use Pimsleur Spanish CDs in my car to supplement my learning. I'd recommend both to anyone interested in learning any language.
Customer Review: Installation challenges
This version is sold as Vista compatible, however installation was not straight forward with Vista Ultimate as operating system. Once installed there is an error message as the file framedynos.dll is not found. We needed to copy it into the program directory. The activation program does not work with Vista, we needed to disconnect the PC from the internet and activate via phone. Neither of these two problems was listed in the manual. The good thing was that the phone service was available even late in the night. Once these two hurdles were overcome the program seems to be working well.

As film actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Chef Mario Batali are touring Spain seeking the best Spanish tapas and seafood dishes as part of a new reality television show, here in New York we don't even have to leave the city to experience this significant segment of the culinary culture of Spain.

"Tapas," "small bites," "pintxo," "cichetti," and now "stuzzichini": no matter how you say it, New York is definitely in the throes of a love affair with small dishes, usually accompanied by a wine from the appropriate region. Although the cost of these small plates can add up quickly, especially while sitting at a bar with a best buddy, most tapas menus sport combination plates, which often represent a great value. Share a couple of these and a bottle (or carafe, quartino, mezzo, flight) and it's a great way to spend an evening.

Here are my suggestions for ten Tapas Bars and Restaurants Deals in New York City:

1. Sangria 46

This Spanish newcomer is receiving raves from theatergoers and neighborhood diners alike for its authentic Spanish cuisine as well as its lovely backyard garden. Choose from the extensive Tapas menu, or order from the Pre-theater menu, which features several choices, including Vegetable Paella, Mussels Diablo, and Churasco (skirt steak). Three courses for $26.95 are served all day and evening.

2. Costa del Sol

Taking its flavors from Northwest Spain's Galicia region, the menu at Costa del Sol is filled with true Spanish dishes. Fans may not be able to agree on their favorites, which include Paella Valenciana with Lobster, Bacalau (codfish) with Green Sauce and Asparagus Puree, and the Madrid NY Sirloin and Lobster Tail combination.

But, most agree that being just on the fringe of the Theater District has saved this restaurant from the cliched themes of many of the more central theater spots. The Tapas menu is also authentic and varied, and you can enjoy a great DiningFever deal of 15% off the entire check.

3. Sol y Sombra

Fast becoming a neighborhood favorite, this Upper West Side newcomer offers a large selection of tapas, both hot and cold, and authentic Spanish entrees as well.

It's easy to design a great meal of small plates to share, and many say the Pulpo a la Gallego (Galician-style Octopus), the Queso Manchego accompanied by raisin bread and sliced apples and the Codorniz En Escabeche (marinated quail presented with mixed salad and roasted figs) keep them coming back for more. Enjoy this exclusive offer from DiningFever - 15% off entire check.

4. Azafran

Both international guests and neighborhood fans alike have hailed Azafran and its ever-changing menu as one of New York's top Spanish restaurants. Drawing inspiration from the many diverse culinary regions of Spain, Azafran's specialties feature a unique brand of authentic Tapas as well as upscale Spanish cuisine. Enjoy Azafran's cool ambiance and outstanding food and save up to 25% with DiningFever's exclusive special offer.

5. Bar Stuzzichini

As the newest hot spot in the Flatiron District, Bar Stuzzichini has been packing them in all summer, and its long marble-topped bar is the perfect place to try the bite-sized appetizers for which the restaurant was named.

At this Italian casual dining restaurant, stuzzichini are divided into five categories on the menu: Friti, Verdure, Formaggi, Pesce and Salumi; individually, they are priced at approximately $5.00 - $10.00, but order plates of five choices for $22.00. Two of these and a dessert with a bottle or quartino from the all-Italian wine list and you've got a delicious meal for two.

6. Matador Bistro Latino

Contemporary Spanish and Latin cuisines mix with Asian and Middle Eastern influences to create Matador's eclectic Tapas menu. Located on Greenwich Avenue in the West Village, Matador Bistro Latino is offering individual dishes ranging in price from $3.00 to $9.00, but for real lovers of Latin food, we recommend the Plato de Charcuteria y Queso, a mixed platter of meats, cheeses and olives, for only $14.00. Stay for dinner and take 20% off your food bill and enjoy a complimentary glass of Sangria with an exclusive offer from DiningFever.com.

7. Alta

The all-Tapas menu is extensive and features creative and unusual dishes. Bring some friends to Greenwich Village, snag a table or a couple of bar seats and share a bunch of the small plates, which range in price from $3.00 for Marcona Almonds to $14.00 for Sauteed Fois Gras. A moderately priced bottle of wine from Italy, Spain or France and a couple of desserts (don't miss the plate of five Spanish cheeses for $12.00) complete this relatively inexpensive (and sabrosa!) meal.

8. Antique Garage

At this romantic Soho spot (Mercer St. bet. Grand & Broome St.), the culinary influences are described as French, Italian, Turkish and "modernized Ottoman cuisine." The owners invite you to "fill your table with several small plates from the Meze section," which features two combination platters: a selection of meats and cheeses and a sampling of meze including humus, tzatziki, eggplant salad, circassian chicken and borek, $24.00 per platter. Sunday through Tuesday evenings, take 15% off with a DiningFever exclusive.

9. I Trulli Enoteca

Adjacent to I Trulli Ristorante is its tiny offshoot, I Trulli Enoteca. The small Enoteca menu features a well-chosen assortment of meats, cheeses, and olives from Italy's Apulian region. Choose three ($18.00) or five ($24.00) and be sure to pair it with one of several flights of three wines, ranging from $11.00 to $18.00.

10. La Bodeguita

Someday we'll be allowed to visit Cuba; until then, luckily, there's La Bodeguita! At this Cuban Tapas Lounge in the Gramercy Park area, you can certainly create a delicious feast from the extensive assortment of Tapas, but try to save room for one of La Bodeguita's authentic Cuban entrees, complimented, of course, by a pitcher of Sangria or a selection from the mostly Spanish wine list.

Although Tapas originated in Spain, where "there are as many variations of Tapas as there are cooks," according to an article in globalgourmet.com, today it seems that every country's cuisine is well-represented. Italian, Indian, Turkish, and of course Spanish and Latin restaurants have all added a selection of small plates to their menus, taking what began as "bar food" to a whole new level. Now, more and more, restaurant patrons are creating their own meals from a combination of these dishes, and restaurant owners are taking note and making their selections more extensive and appealing.

Inertia

Another upset at the Dancing with the Stars results show last night. Much to everyone's astonishment, Willa Ford was voted off. But in a show full of twist endings (likely a compliment of the producers), it's not all that surprising.

Willa Ford's performance on Tuesday did not strike as being particularly outstanding this time around, and unlike Sara Evans, Willa does not have the advantage of having a strong fan base. Still there is injustice to see the likes of mediocre dancers Sara and Jerry return because of their massive popularity while better, hard-working dancers are being booted off week after week.

Instead of acting all surprised and shocked at the results, the judges would do better to ensure that a bigger score gap is created between the good and the bad dancers when scores are delivered. It's ridiculous to think that only three points separate lifeless Sara Evans from dance whiz Mario Lopez. If viewers are going to vote for the most popular contestants regardless of their dancing ability, we might as well make the task much harder for them.

Despite of this endless charade, I found some redemption in the fact that Monique Coleman made it to the next round without being placed in the bottom two. Could it be that viewers are finally seeing how fantastic she is? Without a doubt, her rumba was smoking hot and impressive. She is the rising star of the pack.

As far as the results show itself goes, I am beginning to think it acts merely a filler show to grab more viewers. There is absolutely nothing substantial about it. The showcase dance pieces are looking more lackluster and amateurish each week. Often, the guest singers and vocal groups are given more attention than the dancers themselves. If I wanted to see pop vocal performances, I'd have tuned in to VH1 or MTV. I don't know about you, but I definitely smell money-hungry producer hawks here.
