Educational Children's Songs

From the moment a child is born, the child looks up to the mother for all the wants. The umbilical chord is cut once the child is out of the worm world outside the womb, but it is the beginning of the tough world outside. The only person who can teach a child to deal with life is the mother. She is the one who is responsible for the values, personality, morals, strengths, weaknesses, emotional development, mental development, et al of the child.

It is so wonderful how an infant is able to distinguish between mother and other woman the child comes across. If one observes a child, he knows when his mother is coming to his cradle just by her sound or even scent.

Motherhood in the first year is not just feeding the child when the child is hungry, or cleaning the child when the child has messed up. It is much more. It is being there. It is training the child for the later stages of life. The child begins to learn from conception. And for this reason mothers are encouraged to expose their babies to educational children's songs from the time they are born.

According to various studies being conducted, a child's conception is the beginning of the learning stage. In fact a pregnant mother is recommended to do a lot of reading, eat healthy food and listen to happy music during the nine months. It may sound unbelievable, but a lot of habits of the mother are inculcated in the child at this point.

Music is an important aspect of the learning process in life. It has been seen that children learn basic concepts better when set to tunes that they can dance to, sing along with and clap for. Their way of learning is the joyful way of learning. This is the reason why one of the highest sales in music has been the genre of children's music. This maybe the nursery rhymes, specially created songs, story narrations, etc. Various studies have proved that children learn faster when taught in a happy and musical environment. Whereas children taught the same concepts in a dull environment lose interest in wanting to learn what is being taught to them.

Now read your favourite nursery rhymes, or hindi songs lyrics and even download movie songs from our website.

Mambo in New Zealand

Origin:

Mambo originated in Havana, Cuba in the 40s. The Mambo was originally played as a Rumba with an emphasis on 2 or 4. Once introduced, it fast led to other variations. Although Mambo did not last long and is only danced by advanced dancers today, it led to other styles that became popular such as Salsa and Cha-cha.

Music:

Mambo is an up-tempo dance rythm, usually around 200 bpm. Mambo, like Salsa is played in 4/4 with all 4 beats being evenly accented. Like a lot of Latin American rythms, percussion forms a very important part of the music.

Dance:

Mambo is probably one of the toughest dances to learn, especially is you are already used to dancing one of the other Latin styles like Salsa. Although the music is 4/4, the stepping is quite different. The steps are taken on the second beat as opposed to the first beat, which is one of the main differences that throw most dancers off. The other difference is that the weight change takes place three times in every four beats whereas only two steps are taken!

Latinos NZ Popularity Scale: 1/10

Mambo is rarely danced in Latin clubs in New Zealand, and is rarely taught in training institutes.

Legend Vega Releasing New Pop CD

Legend Vega is scheduled to release her newest CD this summer, Personal Space. Fans characterize Legend's style as a cross between Mariah Carey and a female version of Ricky Martin. She was born under the lights of Broadway in New York City but raised to the beat of Salsa and Merengue on the hot sands of Puerto Rico. Legend Vega is an experienced singer, songwriter, and model. She has just finished recording her newest CD with all of her own material. Her mainstream pop style and her Latin background make her an excellent crossover artist for the U.S. market. Her album features a broad mix of pop music recorded in English but with many Latin influences.

Legend has sung in a variety of venues from Caribbean resorts to outdoor festivals, and even on Broadway. She has performed with famous artists such as Elton John as an opening act at the Conquistador. On Broadway she performed as the lead vocalist in Tony and Tinas Wedding where she sang 32 songs nightly under director Larry Pellegrini. She has also exhibited her vocal skills as a duet partner and backup singer on various CDs for other artists.

In addition to her talents on stage, she also enjoys writing songs. She identifies themes, composes the lyrics, and develops the melody for all of her works. She has also been very involved in the arrangements of each of the songs on her new album. She has completed a multitude of songs in a wide variety of styles (Pop, Rock, Romantic Ballads, Salsa, etc.)

What I really love about singing is being able to reach into someones soul and touch their life in a special way. By writing my own music, I feel that I can do this even better its as if I am having a very personal and intimate conversation with each of my listeners. -- Legend

Legend has an energetic and alluring on-stage presence as a dancer. She has performed concerts in styles ranging from classical ballet to Brazilian samba. She has performed solo dance shows and sang with artists such as world renowned flute player Nestor Torrez.

My real passion is singing. For me, dancing is just the way my voice radiates its influence through my body. Dancing is a natural extension of the sound of my music. -- Legend

In addition to her musical and dance talents, she also has the physical look necessary for mainstream pop marketability. She is an experienced and successful model. She has appeared in print ads (perfume, hair, clothing, etc.), television commercials (beer, hair, etc.) and live fashion shows (Victoria Secrets, etc.). Although modeling is not her main focus, her style and appearance is a plus to her on-stage audience appeal.

Legend has a bachelors degree in TV and film production, and has also studied classical opera and composition at the Conservatory of Puerto Rico. She has hosted a television series about music topics (House of Rock) and produced a pilot for her own music show (Latino Connection). She has also had small cameo appearances in a variety of other television programs.

Her new album features a variety of pop songs. The music was recorded in San Juan under the leadership of Grammy award winner, Ramon Martinez. Legend co-arranged and co-produced most of the songs with Joaquin Fernandez. The instrumentals feature such well known musicians as Januse Bakun (bass player for Ricky Martin and Mark Anthony), Reynaldo Torres (drummer for Luis Fonsi), Rey Reyes (singer for Menudo), Joseph Fonseca, Aldo Mata, and many others.

Hip Hop

Hip-hop took birth as American street culture. Hip-hop culture emerged from 1970s block parties (large outdoor parties, thrown by owners of expensive stereo equipment) in New York City, specifically South Bronx. Pioneered by Black Americans, it includes rap music, break dancing, 'b-boy' fashion, and a defiant stance.

Amid predictions it would not outlive a season, hip-hop music managed to create its own race. Anyone who dismisses Hip-hop as rap music does not understand its history and the influence hip-hop has on youth culture. True fans appreciate that hip-hop is not just about music; it is a way of life, a language, and a unique perspective that uses music to address racism, oppression, and poverty issues, and transforms the music into a political movement. The aim is to motivate young adults to get active in ways reminiscent of the civil rights movement. Hip-hop narrates the stories of inner city African-Americans trying to live the American dream from the bottom up. It is about the youth culture of New York City taking over the world somedayabout dance, art, hurt, love, racial discrimination, broken homes, overcoming adversity, and fulfillment.

Hip-hop includes four key forms of expression: mixing (combining sounds using turntables or other sources), b-boying (dancing), graffiti art, and emceeing (a person who can control the crowd with his lyrics). This culture manifested itself throughout New York City around the mid-1970s. There is a message passed down from the godfathers of hip-hop: to earn respect, you must be skilled on the mic, possess the ability to rock a crowd with sheer lyricism, and explain why you were better than the man next door.

Hip Hop provides detailed information on Hip Hop, Hip Hop And Rap, Hip Hop Music, R&B Hip Hop and more. Hip Hop is affiliated with Karaoke Music.

Watch Japanese Online TV

Like watching free cable TV on the internet, viewing Japanese online television also requires a download of a certain TV player. Usually, there are actually two download options specified for the customer to choose. The first basic package offers the minimum features of the software for free while the premium or pro package has all the features of the basic option but also has more advanced features like a faster connection, more Japanese channels to select, and even free tech support or upgrades. You can also change your player's skin with more skin choices for the premium package.

However, this deal does not come cheap. Most sites advertise the same offer for almost the same price, which is a little bit expensive. The only advantage is, you happen to pay for this player only once and you can then enjoy Japanese online TV for as long as you like.

The good thing for both packages is that the software can be used for any type of format and operating system. And together with the online TV, comes a bundle of online radio stations as well. Once you have the player, you get a list of available Japanese channels; most likely there are more than 30 channels for you to choose. As a final tip, it is best for one to have a fast internet connection, cable or broadband connection is encouraged. This is for the sole purpose of delivering the Japanese TV flawlessly with little or no connectivity problems at all.

The best way to Watch Japanese TV Online is with the TVChannels2PC Internet TV software. For a small one time investment you will have access to sports, full episodes, news, weather and much more. Why pay high monthly fees for satellite or cable?

Beijing 2008 - Basic Facts

Like Fu Mingxia (Asian/ Olympic multi-medalist diver), Wang Junxia (track and field/ world record holder), Gao Min (world/ Olympic multi-medalist in diving) and Li Ning ( gymnastics/ Olympic gold medalist, 1984), Yao Ming (basketball player) is one of the favourites to light the Olympic flame on August 8th 2008. For his training, Liu Xiang -110m hurdles/ Olympic, Asian, world outdoor and world indoor champion- will probably not light the Olympic flame at the Opening Ceremony of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. Xiang's father said, "He has such a weighty responsibility on the track, he will not be the one to light the flame". Liu is one of the most famous athletes in the history.

The sports competition program of the 2008 Beijing Games can include only sports of International Federations recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC): archery, athletics (track and field), badminton, baseball, basketball, beach volleyball, boxing, canoeing (canoe/ kayak), cycling, diving, equestrian, fencing, football (soccer), gymnastics, handball, field hockey, judo, rowing, shooting, softball, synchronized diving, synchronized swimming, swimming (aquatics), table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, triathlon, water polo, weightlifting, volleyball, wrestling (freestyle & Greco-Roman) and yachting (sailing).

The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the 29th Olympiad (BOCOG) sent invitations to all National Olympic Committees around the world (205 countries and territories). Curiously, China does not have formal diplomatic relations with Belize, Burkina Faso, Chad, Costa Rica, Dominica (former British colony in the Caribbean), Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Gambia, Guatemala, Grenada, Haiti, Honduras, Liberia, Malawi, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niger, Palau, Panama, Paraguay, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Solomon Islands, Swaziland, Tonga and Tuvalu.

This Asian country has hosted many world championships/ international games:

The 1961 ITTF Table Tennis World Cup, Beijing

The 1991 FIFA Football Women's World Cup, Guangzhou

The 1993 East Asian Games, Shangai

The 1996 Asian Winter Games, Habian

The 1999 World Gymnastics Championship, Tianjin

The non- Olympic sports are: aikido, billiards, bodybuilding, bowling, chess, cricket, golf, Kabaddi, karate, kendo, kuoshu, racquetball, roller skating, rugby, sepaktakraw, squash, water skiing.

During the XXIX Summer Olympic Games, the Beijing Hotel will serve as the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and guests. It is one of the most distinguished hotels in the world.

China -it is a little bigger than the United States- has won 112 Olympic gold medals. After their first appearance at the 1984 Olympic Games, the Chinese team has been the most successful team in Asia.

Jos played an important role in the promotion of Olympism in Bolivia -it is one of the Third World`s poorest countries- and Latin America. His biography is interesting". The sportspeople he most admire is Olympic volleyball player Flo Hyman. "This African-American sportswoman is my idol... "

Seventies Themed Parties Call For Dance Costumes

Seventies themed parties can emphasize the importance that dance music and the popular "hustle" and its many variants played in popular culture. White suits and dance costumes were common place while platform shoes were the rage. One possible craft for seventies party goers is to make crepe paper boutonnires and corsages.

These will be the perfect compliment to any dance party. Various paper flower colors or shapes can be chosen. Working with crepe paper allows for stretching and molding the shapes of flower petals. For roses, cut long strips the width of the desired flowers. Use pipe cleaners covered in crepe paper or floral tape. Roll the strips around the top of the pipe cleaner stems. Press the center of the flower into the bell shape of a furled rose. Curl the top edges of the rose petals under slightly.

Cut enough rose petals to show off the roses. Press these into the stems under the tape. Cluster as many roses as needed into a corsage or use a single rose for a boutonnire. Wrap the stems together with floral tape or ribbon. Tie a ribbon into a bow under the flowers to the front of the boutonnieres. Secure these with floral pins.

Some other kinds of flowers can be made about the same way. Carnations can be fashioned from the same materials. The serrated tops of pedals can be cut with paper edging scissors found in the scrap booking section of craft stores. Those who are artistically inclined may be able to create gorgeous orchids or chrysanthemums from the right crepe paper colors. Craft stores will probably have lots of preformed flower parts in the wedding section to help in making these more realistic. Stems, stamens or petals can be purchased in bulk.

Have fun staying alive seventies style!
