The album Should have not included the three songs mentioned in the previous review. These songs cut the flow of the mood, they are faster and over produced. I can't believe Luis Miguel is still singing those poppy cheesy styled songs he used to sing in the eighties. It is a shame to ruin such a great line up of songs with three songs that should have been sung by Tom Jones. I believe an album that consists mostly of ballads should include mid tempo, sexy, groovy songs to break the monotony, not cheesy poppy disco songs with choruses that will make your woman jump out of your bed and attach herself to the ceiling like a freaked-out tarantula. Music is so common and widespread in our culture that frequently many of us take for granted the right we have (or think we have) to play it. Most people fail to realize that a legal license is required by law to play any copyrighted music.

Copyrighted Music

So what constitutes copyrighted music? The majority of music (if not all of it) that you hear is copyrighted, which means an individual or group of individuals hold the exclusive right to copy, license, or otherwise use a musical work. Generally those individuals are the people who created and produced the music. Whether it is from the radio, on a CD, or legally downloaded in the form of an MP3 file, the music is copyrighted. Music Within is a film based on the true life story of Richard Pimentel, the man who created the Americans with Disabilities Act. Pimentel becomes deaf after a bombing in the Vietnam War. When he comes home, two influential things happen: he is told he can't enter college; and he meets Art Honeyman, a man with cerebral palsy. Pimentel finds his calling in life: to help those with disabilities get jobs and be accepted by the general public.

Fans of uplifting, touching stories will love this film. Anyone who knows someone who is disabled (which is pretty much everyone) can appreciate what Pimentel was able to do with his life's work.

I particularly liked Pimentel's wit and humor portrayed in the film. After watching the featurettes of Pimentel's speeches, I found that many of the film's great lines of dialogue came directly from the man himself. I also loved Art's character with his undeniable charm.

This film made me want to change the world. It's films like this that give me hope in humanity, that drive me to keep that hope. It made me believe in the good in humanity.

The cast of this film is incredible! The acting is superb. Ron Livingston was a delightful surprise for the lead role, and he does very well in portraying the talented and humorous public speaker. If you see the actor who portrayed Art Honeyman (Michael Sheen) speak, you'll be amazed at how different he is from the character he played. Not only does he portray very accurately a man with cerebral palsy, but he manages to capture Honeyman's sharp wit and humor perfectly.

The special features of the DVD include several deleted scenes, a "making of" featurette and clips from a speech given by Richard Pimentel as he relates the major events of the film. At 94 minutes, the film does feel a little short compared to most films made these days, but it does well to present this amazing story to its viewers.

I think everyone can benefit from watching this film. I believe it will inspire many to fight for their own causes and to perhaps view the disabled in a new light.

My husband and I saw the trailer for this film while watching another DVD. The trailer alone affected us like no other. We knew we had to see this film as soon as possible. We just knew we would love it, and we did. The extras on this film are excellent glimpses behind the scenes and into the real story behind the dramatization.

If you like to dance, take your dog with you. Instead of just taking him for a walk, you can have much more fun doing canine freestyle dancing in a controlled environment. Dressage is a form of command given by slight movements of the hand and barely noticeable to the onlooker. While learning the musical dance routines, your dog can also learn basic obedience commands, as well as advanced obedience commands, while incorporating the use of dressage.

Dog owners meet once or twice weekly, usually at a canine training facility, and spend an hour or more making up moves and interacting with their dog as a form of aerobic exercise for both dog and handler. Freestyle means anything goes as far as the movements chosen to perform.

Moving across the floor, twirling around, going backwards, leg lifts, and jumps are just some of the steps used for the dance routines. For the professional the dance is carefully choreographed. The handler, and sometimes the dog, are dressed in a dance costume and perform in competition.

Brenda Steokes, owner of Canine Country Day School in Manchester, CT, dances weekly with her Australian Shepherd Luna at Tails U Win Canine Training Center, also in Manchester, CT. Aussies are not able to easily walk forward when standing on their hind legs so Brenda is working with Luna in her dance routine to strengthen the muscles needed for this move. Luna is also capable of doing a high-five with both front paws while continuously walking across the floor next to Brenda.

The art of Dog dance was sanctioned by The World Canine Freestyle Organization, founded by Pattie Ventre. Though it has been around since the 1980s, it has only recently become very popular in the form of fun and exercise rather than just a competition. Other organizations in the Unites States include the Canine Freestyle Federation and The Musical Dog Sport Association.

Anyone can join in the fun. It sure beats jumping around the living room floor to a DVD or television exercise program. Check with your local dog training facilities for information on programs in your area.

Customer Review: why why why the radiohead comparisons?
Seriously, stop already with the Radiohead comparisons. This sounds nothing like Radiohead, not Pablo Honey, not The Bends, not ANYTHING EVER by Radiohead. Just because Coldplay's singer tries to sing in a high register like Thom Yorke sings, doesn't necessarily mean the two bands sound alike. Coldplay, for instance, sucks big ones. Radiohead is sort of a brilliant band. There's one difference right there, just for starters. But whatever, you're not a loser or anything if you like this garbage. Lots of people like garbage even worse than this! So there, feel good knowing that you're not utterly, totally, hopelessly devoid of taste (maybe).

This is beautiful music. I distinctly recall direct comparisons to Radiohead at the time of this release, and I must say, I can draw virtually no comparisons between the two artists. Radiohead stinks. Radiohead is useless noise. Coldplay really delivers some beautiful, oftentimes powerful melodies throughout this disc. Sentimental moments abound here. Minimalism WORKS when it is executed correctly, and "Parachutes" is a testament to that. This album is extremely relaxing and even gives me the chills at times. Songs like "Don't Panic", "Shiver", "Sparks", and "Trouble" are tremendous achievements. Solid album through and through from a terrific band.

Origin:

Rumba has two origins: Spanish as well as African. Rumba was first danced by African slaves as early as the 16th century. The Rumba folk dance had sexual connotations with the male having a sexually agressive attitude and the female having a deffensive attitude. It gaining popularity in Latin America in the 1920s.

Music:

Like Salsa, Rumba music is played in 4/4 but the music is much slower at just over 100 bpm. Traditionally, Rumba is danced on the second beat with a pause on the first beat although American style Rumba is danced on the first beat. The forth beat is usually accentuated.

Dance:

Rumba is primarily a sex pantomime. The hip movements are quite exaggerated, especially for the men. The men have a sexually agressive attitude in the dance and the women have a sexually deffensive attitude. The women usually dance with a hankerchief in their hands which is waved in front of the body enticing the men, but when the men react the women quickly "cover up". Traditionally, the men "attack" with their hips by getting very close to the women, but some variations allow men to "attack" with other parts and from a distance!

Rumba is not a very popular dance in New Zealand's Latin clubs, primarily because Kiwis are fairly reserved on the dance floor. But, as more and more dancers learn the dance it is definitely becoming more popular!

Originally released in March 1964, this collaboration between saxophonist Stan Getz and guitarist João Gilberto came at seemingly the end of the bossa nova craze Getz himself had sparked in 1962 with Jazz Samba, his release with American guitarist Charlie Byrd.
