FRANZ FERDINAND - Flock Logo - Blue T-shirt

Brand New, never worn, front and back Blue Authentic FRANZ FERDINAND T-shirt.

Karaoke is one of the most fun activities to do with family and friends. It doesn't matter if no one can carry a tune or not. Singing with the ones you love, especially from the comfort of your own home, can be a great way to stay entertained. Karaoke is a form of entertainment that gives anyone the chance to sing along with their favorite songs. With the help of a PA system and microphone, you can project your voice so that it can be easily heard above the music. Most of the time the music consists of well known pop and rock songs where the voice of the original artist is removed or faded into a lower level. You sing the lyrics from a sheet or from a prompter. Colors or moving symbols will guide the singer along with the lyrics so they know when to sing which words.

If you want to start having karaoke parties in your home, you will need to invest in a few things. You will need some sort of a microphone setup, and you will need karaoke music as well. A monitor to display the lyrics is option, although many times you can turn your television set into a monitor with the aid of DVD technology. You can also have a computer set up to be able to display the lyrics to the singer. Either way, your hands will be free to hold the microphone and dance while you sing.

You can get karaoke music in a variety of places, but the best place to get cheap, fun karaoke music is online. There are many online resources where you can purchase CDs and DVD videos of karaoke music. That way, you can turn your television set into your very own lyric monitor. But the cheapest way to get karaoke music online is by downloading mp3 files. This way, you will get only the songs that you want and you can purchase them one at a time if you are strapped for cash. There are also some outlets on the internet where you can score free karaoke music.

Getting karaoke music online is a lot more convenient than trying to find CDs and DVDs in a store. And with the option to download the files straight to your computer, you can save on shipping costs and waiting at the mailbox for your karaoke music to arrive. After downloading a few karaoke tunes, you can start having a karaoke party in a matter of a few minutes.

It is a good idea to invest in some type of karaoke music. You never know when you will need it. Whether you want to get eh family together in order to entertain yourselves or you are hosting a party and need another form of entertainment to get the party going, you will be glad that you have some karaoke music and equipment on hand. It is a fun activity for everyone, young and old.

Scientist

The Second Single from the Chart Topping Album "a Rush of Blood to the Head".
Customer Review: 'I Ran Away' is the sole reason to buy this
The Scientist is a very good song, I agree, but the best track on this disc and out of all of Coldplay's work has to be I Ran Away. The song is just so awesome. The guitar takes you to another place, the percussion is excellent, and the lyrics go perfectly with the song. If you like Coldplay, you must get ahold of this song as soon as possible.
Customer Review: Top notch song.
Now, I don't normally like British people. Their accent annoys me, but Coldplay are very cool British people. This song rules. The video kind of makes me think, how did he do that? But, the song is a great song.

Happy 75th to your Dad! How about having some "oldies" going in the background and have tables arranged so there can be dancing going on after dinner? Or sending guests a form (well before the party, with instructions to get that form back to you), and have each person write down a good memory involving your Dad. He will cherish these. You can put the filled out forms into book form (or put nicely into a scrapbook) and he can look back on this and enjoy it for many years.

It might be fun to dig up some info from the year he was born and stand up, maybe in between courses and announce what the price of milk was in the year Dad was born, who was president, the most popular music, dance, etc.

Some trivia games (with small prizes awarded to winners, perhaps), perhaps historical questions (again, around your dad's year of birth) or seeing who can answer the most questions about your Dad (questions can be as simple as his favorite food, color, favorite vacation, that type of thing).

Celebrating such a milestone is always a lot of fun. It's a time to reflect on the years past and share all the memories the family and friends have of the guest of honor.

Family trivia questions with dividing up the guests into teams can be lots of fun, and if you are someone you know are technically savvy you can put together slide show/video of his life from the begging until now...choose songs that fit the era the photos are from.

Get the entire family involved by making some very special memories for your dad. Ask each child and/or grandchild to write a one-page memoir of his or her most special memories. Then put them into a scrapbook and display it on a table for all to see. Guaranteed he will still be looking at it years to come.

You might want to have someone with a digital or Polaroid camera take photos of the guest in their black and white garb...in a simple white frame they have a nice little souvenir of the party.

To follow the theme you might do a short trivia game, teaming up guests, 3 to 4 to a team. Make all the questions about your wife ranging from very easy to impossible to answer. Guests get into a very competitive mood and have a lot of fun trying to answer the most questions correctly.

At the "sound of the bell" or time's up whistle teams pass their answer sheet to the team to the right (does this sound a lot like school??) and the answers are corrected. Prizes for the team that gets the most correct. Trivia questions should be from her childhood (family and oldest friends can answer those) her school days, her work days, and her current life. About 20 questions are good.

Those are both activities that are fun and memorable. Then with the visiting, music, food and drink you will have a beautiful beach party.

Parachutes

Japanese Version featuring Two Bonus Tracks: 'careful Where You Stand' and 'for You'.
Customer Review: I have the excellent U.S. release and thought I'd put in my 2 cents.
Sure, if I don't own this, then I don't know about the *COMPLETE* packaging, but not many people are...well, not crazy, but...well, *FORTUNATE* enough to have 45 bucks, just laying around to spend on a release that offers *TWO* new songs. Call me crazy but... It's very, very mellow. Anyway, at first, none of the songs really stood out... But flash forward 7-8 months, and this is quite a nice, relaxing, and very, very soothing alternative CD. And Chris Martin's voice for the most part, fits right in! My favorite songs are: Don't Panic High Speed Sparks Trouble (nice piano) Everything's Not Lost I now own all 3 of Coldplay's albums. I think that this album is there very, very best, and they expanded their sound, to reach the masses with A Rush of Blood to the Head. It was nearly as good, but less unique than this CD. X&Y was most definitely the weakest link. But all of the CDs have at least 4 inspiring tracks on them. I really like the upbeat numbers that they do; Clocks, Daylight, Speed Of Sound, Fix You and Square One are amongst my favorites! This CD should be owned by most alternative music fans. As a MATTER OF FACT, do your friend a favor, and spread some love this Christmas by buying them this! They will love its mellow and ambient feel. It's in-describe-able!! Seriously. It's so lovely, that I'm at a BIG loss of words. I don't know if I've said this already, but when I initially purchased this from Best Buy for 13 bucks, and got it home, I was thinking, "This doesn't stand out much." But these days, it's definitely THE BEST alternative CD I own. It's perfection. You know they've found something special when the skit on the album perfectly blends into the next song. So if You've had a hard day at work, kick off your shoes and socks, turn the damn phone OFF, and pop this into your CD/DVD player. Smoke something nice, get a cappuccino, and just L-I-S-T-E-N. Most of all, R-E-L-A-X. I have no regrets buying this one. 5 stars.
Customer Review: "Parachutes" is only getting better with the years
It's been 4+ years since the original release of Coldplay's debut album in the UK (the US release would follow in Nov. 2000), and as the phenom called Coldplay is getting bigger and bigger, it's now clear that "Parachutes" is a classic, in every sense of the word. By now, the original 10 tracks of the album all have become so instantly familiar, yet never tiresome. There is of course "Yellow", the US break-through single but for me probably the weakest track on the set. Check out instead "Shiver", "Don't Panic" (with the immortal line "We Live in a Beautiful World"), "Trouble" and Sparks", 4 other singles from the album (all of them still available on Amazon). This import version of "Parachutes" (12 tracks, 50 min.) comes with 2 bonus tracks: "Careful Where You Stand" and "For You", which were actually the b-sides of the "Shiver" single, and which fit very well onto the album. So you can buy "Parachutes" the album and "Shiver" the single separately, or you can buy this import version which has everything in one place. Ypur choice. We now await Coldplay's new album, which supposedly will come out in Spring 2005. Who knows whether that's gonna be any good, but for sure it's gonna be a monster, and Coldplay is well on its way to be the next U2. Meanwhile, enjoy the humble and intimate debut album which I dare say Chris and the boys will never surpass.

ASIA Latin Quartier 23rd November 1989 Music Poster

Polyphonic ringtones have turned cell phones from an ordinary communication tool into a multi functional device with a variety of purposes-one of which is entertaining bored children.

As a father of an active toddler, I often find myself in situations where my child is a) about to break something very expensive, b) screaming in a public place. The most obvious solution, of course, would be to give him a toy to keep him amused. But as any parent knows, toys do not work when they are supposed to. They will be flung to the floor (or worse, at the strangers sitting at the next table). In emergency situations like that, I bring out my phone.

There's something about the polyphonic ringtones that provide a hypnotic, calming effect on small children. They listen to it, over and over again. My son's favourite, the end credit theme of Sponge Bob, has been known to keep him seated in one place for five minutes. For an 18 month old, that's nothing short of a miracle.

For that reason, I always keep a number of polyphonic tones that my son might like. The Barney Song-the anthem of all toddlers and their unfortunate parents-is armed and ready whenever we enter a restaurant. There is also, for some mysterious reason, Brian McKnight's "One Last Cry." I don't know why he likes it, or even when he first heard it, but we use it whenever he goes to the paediatrician and needs to stay still for a shot. (For those who will accuse me of not raising my child properly by exposing him to cheesy ballads, I defend myself by saying that he also likes The Beatles and John Coltrane.) Yes, even the most modern songs have been converted into polyphonic tunes. Of course the classics are there-my wife's "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies" sounds particularly fairy-like in its polyphonic form. Download whatever you like. Or whatever your child likes, even if you hate it, because we all know he's the boss.

I have a theory that the reason children like polyphonic tones is that it has that music box quality: delicate, tinkling rhythms. Though deeper and less metallic than the blips of music boxes of old, it still sounds equally as magical to the innocent ears of a child. And, of course, there is the advantage that polyphonic tunes are now more diverse than the standard music box themes of Fur Elise, and I do not have to deal with a pink ballerina. (Barney is bad enough.)

Who would've thought that a mobile phone could be such a useful babysitting aid, or that polyphonic ring tones would rank as high as disposable diapers in the parents' list of modern inventions to be thankful for. While it does have a lot of uses in the adult world-with everyone in the room carrying a mobile phone, having a unique ring tone lets you know when it's your call-its greatest contribution to society is the peace it provides frazzled parents. Yes, music does have the power to soothe the "savage beasts".

Can Lety stand up to the beautiful catty office gossips and win not just Fernando's gratitude but his love as well? If I would have known that the discs did not have enough segments to make the movie realistic, I would not have bought it. Had two sides of two discs damaged or blank and many segments left out that made movie unacceptable. I would have like to see more segments of the show.
Customer Review: Good telenovela..
One of the funniest telenovelas out there. The original was way better but this is still worth watching...

Do you have a Latin girlfriend or boyfriend? Then you know what it feels like when they unleash their words of passion in Spanish during your private moments.

Would you like to give it back at them?

You don't need to speak fluent Spanish. Learn to ignite the fire of your lover with some sexy and romantic phrases in their own language. Heck, you can even turn on lovers who don't even speak Spanish with a few well timed passionate phrases.

Here are a few ways to use this hot, sexy language to your advantage.

Learn a Few Phrases

The first step is to learn some sexy or romantic Spanish words and phrases. Here's a couple to begin with.

My love. Mi amor. (mee ah-mohr.)

I've never felt this way before. Nunca me he sentido as. (noon-kah meh eh sehn-tee-doh ah-sEE.)

I've been thinking about you. He estado pensando en ti. (eh ehs-tah-doh pehn-sahn-doh ehn tee.)

I can't live without you. No puedo vivir sin ti. (noh pweh-doh vee-veer seen tee.)

I want you. Te deseo. (teh deh-seh-oh.)

I love you. Te amo. (teh ah-moh.)

Kiss me. Bsame. (bEH-sah-meh.)

Make love to me. Hazme el amor. (ahs-meh ehl ah-mohr.)

Pronunciation and Accent

Knowing the words and phrases is a good start. But they will be most effective if you say them the right way. Before you attempt to melt your lover with words, practice.

Number one, pronounce the word correctly. If you know someone who speaks the language, ask them to demonstrate the word or phrase for you. If you don't know someone who speaks Spanish, find a book or website that "spells out" each word phonetically.

Also, really try to understand what each word in a phrase means. Actually knowing what you are saying when you say it, and actually meaning it, will put more power behind the words.

After you have gotten the pronunciation down, practice saying the word or phrase over and over again. Do it whenever you are alone and have a free moment, like when you are riding in the elevator, putting gas in the car, washing dishes, and so on. You want to practice so much that, eventually, the words roll effortlessly off your tongue.

Spanish is one of the sexiest languages around. And, by learning a few simple words and phrases, you can begin to master the art of making love with words.
